Inside Pathways
A progression system built around real skills, relationships, and opportunities—not empty points.
Select your track
Pick one to start · you can switch
Every one of these is a way to work in games. Pick the one that sounds like you — the application asks which, and nothing about it is permanent.
Esports
The competitive track: brackets, ranked ladders, and finding a roster to play with. FIGN runs tournaments across the federation, so this is where you go from playing alone to playing for something.
“I want to enter brackets”
Commentary
Play-by-play, colour commentary, desk analysis and hosting. Every tournament needs a voice, and African esports is still deciding who its voices are.
“I want to be on the mic”
Voiceover
Character voice, dubbing and narration. Studios inside and outside the continent are casting African voices — this is the craft of being one of them.
“I want to give characters life”
Game development
Design, engineering, art and audio — the people who actually make the thing. Mobile, PC or console, whether you start in an engine or in a sketchbook.
“I want to make games”
Content & creators
Live streaming and short-form content. The work of showing up consistently, finding your format, and building an audience nobody can take from you.
“I want to grow on stream”
Performance & costume
Costume construction, performance and convention photography. The most physical way into games culture, and the one that fills a room fastest.
“I want to bring characters to life”
Narrative & lore
Game writing, world building, branching dialogue and scripts. Every world someone plays in was written by someone — usually not from here. That's the gap.
“I want to write the story”
Community & ops
Running the events, moderating the spaces, handling partnerships and tournament direction. The least visible track and the one everything else depends on.
“I want to build the room”
