TalentMakers Foundation ran TechSpark 2026 on June 20th in Port Harcourt, a full-day technology conference for secondary school students. Theme: "Innovation Begins With You."
FIGN's Role
FIGN founder Sophia Nei delivered the opening session, From Ideas to Possibilities, exploring how young people can turn ideas into real products and careers. FIGN also facilitated the Games and Energizer activities that kept energy high between talks throughout the day.
The Tracks
Students chose from three sessions running in parallel:
- Product Development: What it actually takes to go from an idea to something people would actually use, from problem definition through to prototyping.
- Coding: Hands-on programming sessions led by working developers. Not slides. Actual code running in real time.
- Personal Branding: How to build a public reputation in a competitive industry before you have a job title to your name.
